The NECE Festival is an annual European gathering that brings together stakeholders from civil society, politics, academia, media, and culture for an interactive and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and actions. The festival focuses on a specific topic that is highly relevant to civic education.
This year, it’s all about FUTURES! The NECE Festival 2023 will be held in Madrid from 30 November to 2 December 2023. The event will explore the future challenges facing civic education in Europe and identify ways to overcome them.

As part of the NECE Festival 2023, you have the opportunity to actively shape the festivals programme. Be it a workshop in a 90 minutes session in our parallel work spaces, an art performance or other cultural side events. Alternatively, you can organise your own booth in the market area of the festival village.
As another compelling option, consider applying for the NECE Campus. You can organize an online session between September and November 2023, providing a valuable opportunity to learn, connect, and get inspired by fellow civic educators.
